Funko Pop Update

It has been six months since I last shared any funko pops I picked up. I have not stopped picking up Funko Pops. In fact, I've almost doubled my collection. Heh.

Instead of sharing individual pics, I'll just share the two funko pops I got this past Saturday, and then I'll share a pic of my whole collection, and just list the new ones.

My new ones:

I wandered in to the Hot Topic hoping to pick up the Ninth Doctor and pink Harley, but I wasn't holding my breath for Harley. I figured she sold out pretty quick.

They have shelves that are stacked two high and three back with Pops, so I started from the bottom, and slowly started shifting Pops this way and that in search of Harley. The Ninth Doctor was super easy, they had a dozen of him. On the fourth shelf I check, in fact - that last shelf I can reach without asking for a ladder - at the very end, I find her. I find four of her. All hiding behind other pops, but there she was! So I happily grab my two new Pops and go to the register.

I place them on the counter. Both of the employees stare blankly at Harley.

"Where did you find that?! I've been telling people we sold out! I even tried looking for them!" The guy exclaims.

To which I reply, "They're kind of hidden, but there were four of them in a group on that shelf there. So there's three more..."

He then gets all scared that the people he turned away will notice this and get mad at him.

The moral of the story is you might not want to just ask to see if they have a pop, it might be safer to look for yourself. Because seriously this Hot Topic had four and the employees were telling people they were sold out. I don't blame the employees, obviously someone tried hiding them. But I wasn't going to give up until I couldn't reach the shelves, so I win. *shrug*

Moving on, here's an updated picture of my collection:

New Pops:
Zoe Washburne
Iron Throne
Petyr Baelish
Gus Gus in Slipper
Quidditch Harry Potter
April O'Neil
Buffy

Already mentioned:
Ninth Doctor with Banana
Pink Harley Quinn

Star Wars:

Rey
First Order Stormtrooper
Yoda (Spirit)
Wampa
BB-8
Poe Dameron
Captain Phasma
Boba Fett (Prototype)
Snowtrooper

Pocket Pops:
Rainbow Dash
Adipose
Captain America

There we go! All of my Pops so far. They were either purchased by me or my guy, a couple were bought on clearance, and a couple were gifts. I still have quite a few I want, and Funko is apparently going to be at C2E2 this year, plus I'm looking forward to the vendor Pops, so I'm wondering what other pops I'm going to end up with this year! ♥

Mug Swap - What I Sent

Another Iggle swap! I had planned on staying away from iggle swaps for a while. The last one I'd done - the recipe book swap - took longer than I expected because I went overboard. It kind of burned me out. With that and the Best Birthday Ever Swap... I figured right then that I'd back off a bit. I avoided the swap section of the forums like the plague.

...And then I got a DM from the person running the Mug Swap. She had a bunch of people sign up, but she was at an odd number, and wondered if I might be interested in making it even. Of course I said yes... despite trying to stay away from the swaps, a swap sought me out, and I love swaps too much to say no. I couldn't resist!

So my swap buddy gave me a list of fandoms and other likes to go from, and I found myself on etsy searching "each fandom + mug". When I got to Batman, I found 5 million people and their mums were apparently selling vintage* glass Batman mugs. From 1995. From McDonald's. From Batman Forever.

*I don't know if I consider 1995 "vintage"

I laughed at this. "Who," I thought, "in their right mind, would want Batman Forever mugs?!"

And then a tiny voice in the back of my head spoke up.

"...Me."

All of a sudden I was looking at these mugs in search of the best deal to buy one for myself. Then I realized that maybe if *I* - a person who is only really more of a fan of the Batman movies and doesn't quite consider "Batman" one of her fandoms - would be interested in a Batman Forever mug... mayhaps my swap buddy would be interested?

I ended up finding a fairly good deal on three Batman Forever mugs - two Batmans and a Two Face.

One Batman mug is mine now. Bah hahaha.

Here are pics of Batman and Two Face:

These mugs were super cute! I like the coins on the handle of the Two Face mug! Once I washed them, I happily started packing these two mugs in to a box when my anxiety crept up behind me and whispered in my ear,

"What if she's not like you...?"

Dang it. THANKS ANXIETY. So my excitement from "vintage" Batman Forever mugs imploded in on itself and all that was left was a lingering mushroom cloud of doubt.

I went back to her list of likes, and headed out to the store.

Cats are one of her favorite animals, so I picked up this cute mug:

It was between this and an owl mug, (another one of her favorite animals) but overall I thought this one was cuter, mostly because the tail is the handle. Hehe.

So, I wrapped the cat mug up, found a bigger box, and sent all three mugs to my swap buddy. Surely she's bound to like at least one of them!! ♥

Swap Project - Perlers

This month, I chose perler beads for the January Iggle Craft Challenge. This made me excited, because I hadn't played with perler beads since I was a youngin'. This past weekend, I ran out to buy some, and a pegboard.

I sat down the next day and got to making. The first thing I made, of course, was Jimbob, the official mascot of IGGPPC. Then I googled "Perler beads" and found some I liked.
