Full Funko Pop Collection

So this past Friday, I did a 5 Fandom post on my top 5 Funko Pops that I own. Those are the ones pictured above. And I have two Dancing Groots for the time being. Still thinking of having a giveaway.

I have a very small collection, because I only started last August. But since it's so small, I thought now would be a good time to share, because then I could blog whenever I get a new one in the future, and keep up that way.

Groot

BEHOLD! The very first Funko Pop I ever purchased. Bah haha. I had been avoiding purchasing Funko Pops for ages, but alas, Guardians of the Galaxy made me change my mind. I spent the first day of Chicago Comic Con finding all of the booths that sold Groot. I kept finding him for $40. After a quick text to a friend who's been collecting a while, I learned $40 was way to much to spend on a normal Funko Pop. So I kept searching. And finally, I found just one place that was selling him for $20. Another text to that friend informed me that $20 will probably be the cheapest I'll find him at the time, so I grabbed him. That day was the same day that friend ended up getting his Loot Crate, and his Groot looked so much cooler than mine, but I don't have Loot Crate, so I had to settle for this one. Haha.

Rocket Raccoon

This guy was the second Funko I purchased. The day after I bought Groot at Chicago Comic Con. It ended up helping out, because that friend of mine asked me to buy him Drax at CCC, and I literally found only ONE Drax on Sunday - and it was at the same place I bought Rocket, so I was able to use a discount and got Drax for 7 bucks and some change.

I kind of want to add a Drax to my collection, but then my brain is all like

"But if you get Drax... you might as well get Gamora and Starlord too...."

And I'm all like,

"Shut UP, brain. Stop making sense."

*shrug*

Prince John

This guy was mentioned slightly in the 5 Fandom post. At the Chicago TARDIS, I bought Dr. Hooves and one other - this is the other. I like Disney's Robin Hood, so when these came out, I was excited, only to be... I dunno... kind of indifferent towards all of them but Prince John. The Prince John Funko was totally cute. So when I came across him, he came home with me.

Daenerys Pocket Pop

This little lady is the first female in my collection, and I don't even think she's supposed to count. lol. It's okay, little Daenerys, you count for me. My dad got her for me for Christmas. I enjoy Game of Thrones - somehow, despite all the death - and Daenerys is one of my favorite characters. To be honest, I seriously considered many of the Game of Thrones Funko Pops while they were all on display at Chicago Comic Con, but I decided I didn't want any of them. After getting this little lady, I changed my mind slightly, and Daenerys - the one with a little dragon - was mentally added to my wishlist.

Daenerys Targaryen

Two weeks after she was added to my wishlist, I found her and her alone at my local Walmart. It was almost like it was fate. Haha. So naturally, I picked her up. She is my newest addition to my collection.

So there we have it! My small beginning collection. These Funko Pops are so stinking cute and I'm super surprised I managed to avoid them for as long as I did.

As for future Funko Pops to add to my collection, I have yet to find a set that I want the whole of, so I won't bother myself to try and "collect them all". With maybe the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy, because my mind is still on the fence about that one. I'm just going to pick up the ones I feel I want. I see a Funko that I think is cute and then I look inside me and search my feelings. ROFL. That sounds so weird, but it's what I do. If I really want it, I get it. If I'm considering it just to collect it or whatever other reason, I won't get it.

Just a few currently on the wish list....

Crowley
Mrs. Potts and Chip
Wall-E
Scrump
Jack Sparrow
Various characters from the Firefly set

And others for sure. This collection is going to get bigger. lol. Someday, when there's room, I might even take them out of their boxes. Maybe. But for now, that's how they'll stay! :D
